Fishing
The Kobuk River and drainages are home to a number of species of fish. You can use a rod and reel or fly fish for all species – trout, sheefish, white fish, chum salmon, Northern Pike, Dolly Varden, Arctic Char, and Arctic Grayling.

The sheefish is the largest. They can grow up to five feet and weigh over 70 pounds. A member of the white fish family, sheefish taste great and are very exciting to catch. Use a large hook for this big mouth biter. One bite and you’re hooked! Sheefish arrive in July, so book your reservations to catch the run.
